It’s easy to say ‘I’m a Christian, so I’m good’, but what actually comes out of our mouths most? It depends on what’s in your heart! Matthew 6:21 says our heart will be where our treasure is. So what we like to spend most time looking at or listening to,will fill our conversation. Do you ‘seek the Lord with your whole heart’ and ‘store up His word in your heart, that you might not sin against Him’?
Lord, we give You thanks for Your Word, which not only fills us with Your goodness, but which also purifies us from uncleanness. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit giving us guidance and conviction with regard to what we look at and listen to, as well as ‘Setting a guard….over our mouths, and keeping watch over the doors of our lips!’ Amen.
