Honouring the elderly is a lifestyle that we should advocate. Respecting our elders should be a courtesy ingrained in every one of us. Our honour and respect for the elderly should be reflected in our attitude, speech and demeanor. Sadly, these important virtues have been largely forgotten in today's society.
God sees the value in every person He made, and He wants us to do the same. This is why we must ask the Holy Spirit to show us the worth of the senior figures around us and give us the humility to honour and serve them as Jesus did.
Father God, we bring before You all the elderly , not only those that we know, but all the others in society. Give grace to those who are taking care of the elderly, who find it difficult to come to terms with them, knowing that Your grace is sufficient. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
