For by grace you have been saved, through faith and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God.

Ephesians 2:8 (ESV)‬

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Matthew 10:8 (ESV)‬

Day 123 – Sharing our Gifts

Our salvation is a gift from God - it's unearned and undeserved on our part for we cannot do anything to merit it. God's love for us compelled Him to make the ultimate sacrifice to settle the penalty for our sin - death on the Cross. But more than just delivering us from death, destruction and eternal separation from Him, He has restored to us all that was lost through man's fall from grace. Sozo (salvation in Greek) carries this broad definition. As our eyes have been opened to God's gift of love, let us freely give to others what we ourselves have received.

Prayer

Father God, You see us as the aroma of Christ among believers and pre-believers (2 Cor 2:15). Make us a channel of Your love as we move in the spiritual and ministry gifts You have given us, to reflect You to the world and bless and serve one another. In Jesus' name, Amen.
