Honouring our parents/elderly/seniors is key to obtaining God's favour, wisdom and long life and at same time we are honouring our Father in heaven. Our heart aches for the elderly who are confined at home, nursing home or hospital due to pandemic. It teaches us not to take anything for granted, especially spending time with them or making phone calls. Let’s express our gratitude and appreciation when it is not too late.
Dear God, we thank You for our parents. May Your peace and assurance of salvation reign over them, and Your love encompass them, especially for the elderly who are in nursing homes or hospitals being locked down and separated from their loved ones. Deliver them from negative thoughts. May Your protection be over them. In Jesus gracious name, we pray. Amen.
