Why do plants and trees produce flowers? It’s not just God showing off His artistic flare! It’s all about reproduction. They attract insects and birds by their beauty and scent to continue the process and allow fruit to develop. Similarly, although we are God’s masterpiece (and yes, we are!) we are not just here to sit and show how clever God is. We’re here to demonstrate God’s awesome love and power, thus attracting others, and multiplying the Kingdom.
Father, we thank You for the splendour of Your creation and for allowing us to be involved in its maintenance. Thank You for giving us boldness and wisdom to let others see and taste the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control that can only be found in You, that Your Kingdom comes and Your will is done. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
