Dove symbolises purity, gentleness, love, peace, hope and new life in the Bible. Its name endears perfection and emblems as Holy Spirit.
Before Jesus’ crucifixion, He prayed for “love and unity” amongst the disciples. He knew that “divisions and dissensions” would distract His church and weaken believers’ power to carry out His great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
My father taught me this – unity is strength. When Christians humbly come together and submit to one another, Jesus said greater things can be done by us (John 14:12).
Dear Lord, “A cord of three strands is not easily broken” – increase our capacity to love You and to love our neighbours. Empower us by Your mighty Spirit to do the impossible. We desire to reap a harvest of lost souls to Your Kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
