Being hardworking is a big part of Hong Kong and Asian culture. Sometimes people complain about being overworked and underpaid. But the Bible clearly states that with hard work, you will reap rewards. Just look at the spider, such a tiny creature, weaving the web and using it to catch prey. If you destroy the web, it will weave it again. Their tenacity shows us the right attitude to live our lives. God knows our hard work and He will reward us accordingly.
Dear God, we pray to be hardworking with a God-centred attitude. We release any stress and burdens to you, and ask to be replenished with Your strength, goodness and energy everyday. We want to bless and honour others with the work of our hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
