Love relationship can take many forms, from a passionate and intense encounter to a slow and steady build-up that eventually culminates in a vast and beautiful ocean. Through these earthly relationships, we catch a glimpse of God’s love in action.
A mother’s tear-soaked letter, lovers’ devotional writings with artworks, a shepherd’s earnest prayers and labours for the lost and needy or parents who exhaust all the care they have to offer for their children – all these are different expressions of God’s love. We may all have different earthly encounters but the Bible says that we are not left as orphans but are instead God’s children. If we can comprehend how far God would go for us, even to the point of sacrificing Himself for us to consume by faith, hope and love (John 6), there is nothing we need to fear or lack.
Papa, we pray for the Church ministries that are reaching out to those who’re experiencing dryness in their lives – would You mend their hearts and let their life find fulfillment in Your creation and rejoice in the power of Your Love. In Jesus’ Loving Name, Amen!
