It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. How good is our Father God. He gives us countless scriptures to teach, instruct and encourage us on how a man and a woman are to relate to each other in the context of a marriage. Most importantly, He is the one who defines what a marriage is. Love is patient, love is kind, love does not keep records of wrong, love does not insist on its own ways. Husband and wife are to honour each other, and not to tear down each other. Growing together as one in the Lord becomes a sure outcome. Let's rely on His love and Word to enjoy our marriage in Him.
Father God, we invite You to come into our marriages. Give us wisdom, love and patience, not to react but to respond to our spouse with the love You have for us. Amen.
