Song of Songs gives us the impression of true love, and the importance of relationship between husband and wife. Marriage is planned by God, where man and woman live together within the marriage. God blesses the union as they choose and love each other spiritually, emotionally and physically. Marriage matures through difficult times, and our acts of service express love. Joy and happiness are also found in taking care of our families and serving those we love. Marriage is sacred and should be protected. Like love, it is valuable, powerful, priceless, and cannot be bought nor sold. Marriage is a journey, driven by acts of love, which keeps it growing strong.
Father, thank You for the gift of marriage. Help us to love You more than our spouse, so we can love our spouse more than anyone else. Bring our spouse in Your presence today. Help husbands love their wives as You love your church, your bride. And let us wives submit to our husbands as we submit to You. Make us what You want us to be. May we bring glory to You. Amen.
