…teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Although the book of Esther doesn’t mention God, His hand is evident throughout the story. As Christians, we can take comfort in the fact that God is always present and at work in our lives, whether we feel His presence or not.
In Esther, we see God at work in the lives of Esther, Mordecai, and the Jewish people. He worked through such ordinary events as insomnia, the reading of a book, and a man’s anger. God’s timing was also at work through those events.
In whatever we may be facing right now, God is at work. He is working behind the scenes. He promises “that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who have been called according to His purpose”.
Lord, thank You for working in our lives even if we are not able to see it. Give us strength to walk in faith that You are and will always be with us. Amen.
