Waiting on God isn’t easy. We want things to happen in our own time, in our way, and according to our plans. We may be disappointed when things don’t go as such.
When things are out of our control, God is working behind the scenes. When we pray hard and not receive any answers, we may wonder when or if God will send the answer. But God hears our prayers and He’s working out the answers even when the details aren’t clear yet.
Waiting for answers from God is something everyone will experience. The question then becomes how we wait. The Hebrew word for “wait” is Qavah. It means “to wait, look for, hope, expect”. Biblical waiting is not passive, but demonstrated by active dependence upon and obedience to God, which we should practice in our life.
Lord, help us to wait on You patiently, expectantly and hopefully in the midst of uncertainties. We trust You will make a way. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
