After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the Agagite, the son of Hammedatha, and advanced him and set his throne above all the officials who were with him. And all the king's servants who were at the king's gate bowed down and paid homage to Haman, for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai did not bow down or pay homage.

Haman was given the position and authority for a purpose, but unfortunately he was blinded by pride and arrogance. God puts us in different scenarios and places for a purpose, and it is important that we reflect on the position and season that God put us in, especially when we are facing challenges.
Father God, let us not lose focus on our purpose for Your Kingdom and let us be reminded that we are to always to edify and be a blessing to the people around us, in Jesus' name. Amen.
