The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she won grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins…
Esther 2:17 (ESV)
And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
Deuteronomy 28:1 (ESV)
As we read the Book of Esther, we can see that Esther’s entire dependence was on God. Esther did not have to struggle as she rested in God and humbled herself. God promoted her and exalted her above all the other beautiful women.
When we humble ourselves and cease our efforts to promote ourselves and depend on God alone, then God will be our promotion and our increase. When we depend upon God, we allow Him to do the rest. Like Queen Esther, we will stand out in a crowd and obtain grace and favour from God and man.
Abba Father, I know that You love to pour out Your abundant goodness on Your children. Let us experience Your blessings and favour today. We can’t wait to see how You will encourage and strengthen us. Bless us to be a blessing to those around us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
