I have a vivid memory from years ago when a brother from church shared how one of his life goals was to have as many children as possible, taking “making disciples” quite literally. I was astonished by his dedication to not only passionately share the gospel but also to embrace every means to make as many disciples as possible. This led me to reflect on how I could take this verse seriously and recognize that we ourselves became disciples thanks to those who came before us, who had the passion to share the message of Christ to us and lead us to it. It is important to remember we are partnering with God as we make disciples, as He has promised and empowered us to do so.
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your love and mercy, which is enough for each and everyone of us. We pray that You guide us on this amazing journey, as we partner with You to lead people back to You, to experience the greatness of You. We pray all these in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
