Mark 12:42 tells the story of Jesus, commenting on the contributions people were giving to God by dropping their money loudly into the temple coffers. At that time, giving was a bit of a show.
However, a poor widow gave everything she had to live on! She was free to totally trust God for her provisions. Let us also learn to abandon ourselves to our Father in heaven.
Dear Lord, thank You for your great love and care for us. We give to You today, not out of our surplus but that which costs us, like the widow, deeply trusting in You, our loving Creator and Dad. Amen.
