Revelations 14 describes how Jesus will be seated on the throne in the clouds harvesting and reaping those who believe in him. While believers have faith and confidence in God’s promise to be with Him eternally, what about those who don’t yet know the Lord? Until the day of judgement, we must persevere and be constantly prayerful for their salvation and our own spiritual purity, and seize opportunities to share boldly. Inevitably, some people will reject God and His word and that might make us feel rejection, hurt, embarrassment or even self-consciousness as we share the gospel. Let us not lose heart and remember the blessings and God’s abundant love and grace for everyone who chooses to believe in Him. Romans 1:16 proclaims as such; there is no disgrace in declaring God’s salvation!
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your salvation and gift of eternal life. We lift up our family and friends who have yet to accept You as their Lord and Saviour. Fill us with a spirit of courage and persistence to share about You, with full confidence that You are the best gift anyone could ever receive. Amen.
