One of my favourite experiences when flying is to see the beautiful clouds from far above. I can see brilliant blue skies above me and fluffy clouds below me. As the plane descends through the clouds the whiteness glistens all around. When the plane emerges through the clouds the blue skies are no more. Gazing upwards only the clouds are visible. That is a physical picture of how God's view above the clouds is different from our view below the clouds. His ways and thoughts are higher than ours.
Father, we know that your view of how we should face life's challenges may be different from our own view. We pray that we spend time to understand what Your thoughts are. It may not be obvious to us, so we pray for Spiritual discernment to overcome whatever is blocking us from knowing your thoughts. In Jesus' name, Amen.
