Moses said, “Please show me your glory.”

Moses treasured the Lord. Instead of asking for bread or meat, he asked to see God's glory. Up until that point, God had only been speaking to Moses from the cloud. God revealed His glory in much greater measure in Exodus 33 and 34, where Moses said, "Please show me your glory." A man of God once said, "Seek the face of God, not just His hand," meaning we want His power, and what He can do for us, instead of seeking God to be in His presence.
When Moses came into God's presence, he learnt more of God's nature; merciful and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness... Jesus knows our needs after all. I, like many, am keen to present my requests to God but the Lord is keen for us to spend some quality time with Him to know Him more.
Father, I need to know You more, to seek Your face, to converse with and listen to You. Thank You that You are always available for us. We love Your word, Lord. We want to hear Your heart and to spend more time with You, in Jesus' name, Amen.
