Some things are so amazing that they compel us to stop and stand in awe. An enchanting song. A glorious sunset. A baby learning to walk. Did you know there is an even higher level of amazing that compels us to stop and sweeps us off our feet such that we cannot stand? God's almighty glory is described like this when a worship service to dedicate Solomon's Temple is interrupted by the cloud of God's glory. We may not witness the cloud today, but the same glory is on full display in the people of Christ. That person who just got off work now sitting beside me at Kingdom Group compels me to stop and (not?) stand in awe. It is good to acknowledge God's glory on display in a life lived for Jesus.
Heavenly Father, thank You for shining the light of Christ in us so that we may display Your glory and goodness to the world through our everyday lives. We are in awe of what You do! In Jesus' name, Amen.
