But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

God is faithful and when we truly admit our sins and sincerely regret our wrongdoings, He is able and will freely forgive us. In 2 Chronicles 33:1-9, the beauty of these scriptures gives us the good news that God alone freely forgives those who seek Him and humble themselves before Him. One more piece of good news is that God never changes; His character is constant. If God could forgive King Manasseh's wickedness, today He will also forgive us. Therefore, when temptation is near, let us run and turn away from sin. Remember to trust that God gave us the power to overcome sin, and always be thankful that we are saved from sin and saved for His purpose.
Lord, we will always be grateful to Your kindness, goodness, and faithfulness. Thank you for the love that made you shed your blood on the cross, so that we may live and have eternal life. Help us to remember that we are saved for Your purpose and Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
