Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Living with unforgiveness in our hearts breeds anger, hate, jealousy, hurt, resentment, bitterness, and many more. It will take root in our hearts and will eventually consume us and affect our relationship with Abba Father.
Forgiveness is an important aspect of moving forward and experiencing healing from previous hurt and pain. God calls us to forgive people and we have the greatest example in Jesus Christ. The most important piece when Jesus spoke to us in Ephesians 4:32, is forgiveness as God in Christ forgave us.
The moment we choose not to retaliate, we give up the right to get even and this is called "mercy." And when we give to people what they don't deserve, this is called "grace". Jesus' sacrifice and His love were shown to us first. In the same way, we are called to forgive others without condition. This is unconditional forgiveness.
Father Lord, we thank You for Your redemption on the cross for us, that mercy and grace were given to us without any condition. In the same way, let us bless our friends and let us practice this Christlikeness to everyone and emulate Jesus in every aspect of our lives. In Your name I pray, Amen.
