Reflection
Suffering is normal in life, even for Christians. From Paul, we learn that trouble will come, yet we can still praise God, the Father of mercy and God of all comfort.
The word “comfort” means God comes alongside to help. God comforts us so that with the same comfort we receive, we can comfort others.
Jesus Himself learned obedience through suffering and He understands our pain. Because of Him, we are never alone. God uses hard times to make us more like Jesus and to help others.
Whatever season you are in, be it dealing with past pain, living with present pressure, or facing future trials, know that the God of all comfort is with you. Receive His comfort today and share it with someone else tomorrow.
Prayer
Dear God, thank You for Your mercies. We are grateful that You are near to us in every affliction. Comfort my heart, and make me a channel of that same comfort to others. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
