Reflection
Mary Magdalene modelled an essential part of the recovery process - telling others the great news. Once healed of seven demons, Mary supported the ministry of Jesus financially and was a faithful follower from early in his ministry. Her faithfulness was honoured when the risen Christ appeared and spoke to her before He spoke to anyone else! After seeing the resurrected Jesus, she went immediately and told the disciples. When we realise the power that the risen Christ can bring us through the recovery process, we can show our gratitude by doing as Mary did carrying the message to others.
Prayer
Lord, fill me with Your love and courage. Open my eyes to the opportunities You have prepared. Guide my words with grace and truth, and prepare the hearts of those who will hear. I trust You with the results. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
