Reflection
Broken relationships often stem from selfishness. We hurt others when we are focused on our own rights and feelings. Paul commands in 2 Corinthians 13:5, "Examine yourselves...to see whether you are in the faith." This isn't merely about doctrine, it is about His presence. Is Christ truly reigning in you?
When Jesus fills us, our focus shifts from "How I should be treated" to "How I can love". True faith looks outward. It seeks restoration through the lens of Christ's love rather than defending our own pride. Don't just blame others, examine your heart. Let Jesus' presence transform your interactions. Stand firm in the faith by loving like Him.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, forgive our selfishness and self-righteousness. When relationships break, make us more like You. Teach us to love others as You have loved us. Give us the courage to seek restoration according to Your will, not our own comfort. May Your life in us bring healing to those around us. In Jesus' name, Amen.
