For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

The Blessed Hope of Glory Belongs to Us

Reflection How glorious, this blessed hope that we have, we who are in Christ. One day, I sensed the prompting of the Holy Spirit to play Cantonese gospel songs at the clinic I worked at. There was a student interning with us. After some time, he told me that these songs ministered to him and how he used to attend church. I encouraged him to go back to Father God and to attend a local church. I reminded him not to lose sight of the blessed hope he has and still does. He smiled.

Prayer Father God, thank You for sending Jesus Christ. Jesus, thank You for Your obedience to Father God. Holy Spirit, thank You for revealing Jesus to us. What blessed hope we have, we who are in Christ! Amen.
