Reflection
Paul’s suffering was not meaningless. Though he pleaded for the thorn to be removed, God answered him with something deeper than relief: the promise of sustaining grace and the display of Christ’s power.
This teaches us that some of our sufferings are designed by God to magnify the presence and power of Jesus. Our weakness is not a place where Christ is absent; it is often the very place where his strength shines most clearly.
When our strength fails, His power is not diminished. Our weakness reveals his worth. And His grace is enough.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your sufficient grace. We confess that we often fear weakness, suffering, and being in need. Help us trust that You are present with us even in the hardest places. Lord Jesus, magnify Your power in our weaknesses. Let our lives display Your worth, not only in seasons of strength and success, but also in trials and burdens. Holy Spirit, comfort the weary, strengthen the fainthearted. Make us be people whose greatest joy is to make Jesus known. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
