Reflection
The Apostle Paul summarises the entirety of the law into a single guiding principle: loving your neighbours as yourself. Paul warns against using this liberty as an opportunity to indulge the "flesh" (sinful desires). Instead, believers are instructed to use their freedom to serve and care for one another through love, and by loving our neighbour as ourselves. All moral obligations are summed up in this one principle of active love.
Prayer
Our Heavenly Father, You have set us free by Your Grace. Help us not to use our freedom for selfish gain, but to serve our neighbours in love as You have commanded. Open our eyes to the needs of others and grant us strength to serve humbly, as Christ served and loved us. Guide us to love them as ourselves, for in that love, Your whole law is fulfilled. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
