Reflection
Our heavenly Father, in His love, sent His only begotten Son Jesus to set us free. We, who have received His love, are now to steward this freedom not to lord over, but love others.
You may ask, but how? Through service. One person at a time (Galatians 5:14). Where there is a need, there is a ministry.
It can be in church. In family. A text to a friend or colleague who's going through challenges. An act or word of kindness to someone, even a stranger, in need.
If our Saviour and Lord, Jesus, exemplified loving service by washing His disciples' feet (a task reserved for the lowest of servants), who are we to not serve others?
Prayer
Lord, even now, You are still serving us through others in so many ways. Help us to do the same to the people around us, as an extension of Your hands and heart. For Your glory. Amen.
