Reflection
Grace teaches us how to give.
The Macedonians were poor, yet they gave joyfully. In fact, they begged for the opportunity to give. Why? Because they first gave themselves to the Lord!
And what a beautiful heart posture! Their giving reflects their trust in God and love for others. That's grace in action!
Paul reminds us that our heavenly Father's supply is enough for all. When we have much, we share. When we have little, we trust. And in the body of Christ, no one hoards. And no one is forgotten.
As we remember Jesus giving everything for us, may we also reflect Him in our giving to others.
Prayer
Lord, thank You that You have freely given us all things! As we have freely received, may we also freely give to others in need, reflecting Your heart and glorifying Your name. Amen.
