No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Romans 8:37 (ESV)

The Credit Thief

Reflection I worked tirelessly on a project—late nights, sacrificed weekends, poured my best into every detail. Then came the presentation. My manager presented my work as his own. He took the credit. I sat silent, praised for nothing, erased from the story.

The anger festered. I wanted to expose him, to reclaim what was rightfully mine. But Romans 8 whispered a different truth: "If God is for us, who can be against us?" I didn't need human recognition to secure my worth. My identity wasn't tied to who got the applause.

Years later, that same manager recommended me for a promotion—because I never fought back. He trusted me. God had been working while I was fixated on fairness. The marketplace may steal your credit. But no one can steal your inheritance in Christ.
Prayer Jesus, when the world takes credit for our labour and overlooks our sacrifice, we anchor our identity in You. Help us trust that You see what others miss, and that Your reward far exceeds earthly recognition. Give us grace to serve faithfully, even when no one claps. In His Almighty name, Amen.
