Reflection
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” This freedom is not abstract; it becomes real when we place our faith and trust in Him. Through Christ, we are delivered from sin and its power. No longer are we enslaved to our flesh or bound by guilt; instead, we are released to pursue God and His goodness, and to discover what true life is meant to be.
Why would we choose to live under the shadow of a lurking, fearful “beast,” when we are invited into a life where God’s presence surrounds us—guiding, restoring, and filling us with joy and peace?
Paul also warns us not to return to ‘a yoke of slavery’. Freedom in Christ is a gift to be understood and embraced. May we, as a community in ICA, grow in our ability to explain this truth clearly to our pre-believing friends, gently pointing them towards the life-giving freedom found in Christ alone.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for setting us free through Christ Jesus. Help us to walk in Your truth, not returning to bondage. Guide us to share this freedom with others in love and clarity. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
