Reflection
In life, we all face suffering, trials and tribulations, but Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 5:3-5 also says, “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Our suffering is not in vain; we can all learn from Paul how he endured and surrendered himself to the will of God in his suffering. In the end he came out victorious as God has promised, and through his suffering, he brought glory to Jesus.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help us to look and surrender to You in our trials as we know that You will work all things together for the good for those who are called according to your purposes. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
