All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling[a] the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

Ambassadors for Christ

Reflection It deeply humbles me to reflect on how God, our Heavenly Father, chose to reconcile sinful humanity to Himself through the death of His only Son, not counting our sins against us—not even one. It was all settled on the cross: price fully paid, debts totally cleared, and even His righteousness credited to our account!

Now, He extends this unconditional offer of peace and forgiveness through us, His representatives in the world. The Bible reminds us that this message of reconciliation is always urgent and timely—a "now" message worth sharing wherever we go and to whomever we meet.

Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for the message of reconciliation that You have entrusted to us. Empower us to be effective and faithful ambassadors for Christ, making the most of every opportunity to reconcile people to Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
