Reflection
Psalms 24 beautifully reminds us that everything all around is FROM God, and therefore everything that we do should be FOR God. When you stop to appreciate everything that God has placed around us, how can you not praise God and acknowledge His glory?
Not to say that our daily lives are not important, but what’s more important is to always remind ourselves why we do what we do. The focus should never be on how to build more to satisfy our worldly needs, but to build up ourselves because the King is coming, and what a joyful thought that is.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the world that You have given us. I pray that every day You will draw us closer to you, guide us in our daily lives, lead us from temptation and help keep our hands clean and our hearts pure every day, so that we can prepare ourselves to welcome You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
