Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

2 Corinthians 13:5 (ESV)

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

Matthew 7:3 (ESV)

Growing in Grace

Reflection A walk in Christ is a life of growth and not stagnancy. One of the aspects we also grow in is the grace of God. This starts with self-examination (2 Corinthians 13:5) to know where we are, rather than looking at where others are (Matthew 7:3). This growth helps us become more like Jesus and less like ourselves. A transformation that is only with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Thank You Holy Spirit for Your work in our lives. We once again come to You to examine where we stand in faith today. Help us, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
