Reflection
Recently, I heard Simon Sinek, an inspirational speaker, say that when skiing downhill through the woods, if the instructor asks you to avoid hitting the trees, you are more likely to hit them a your focus is on the trees. But If you are told to follow the snowy path, you will most likely stay on course because your focus is on the path.
Our walk with God is the same. He is the God of miracles, a good God who is always in control no matter what situation we are facing. If we only focus on our issues, we will get into more trouble. If we focus on God, obey him, and follow His path, then we will most certainly be led into His “promised land”.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are a good God, a God of miracles. We confess that we often engage with ideas that contradict Your words. Lord, help our minds to only focus on Your words. Your grace is sufficient for us. Show us Your way, and we will obey even if your way looks unconventional. Thank You, Jesus, In Your name we pray, Amen.
