Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

Psalm 1:1-3 (ESV)

Enthroning The King

Reflection Psalm 1:1–3 teaches that true joy comes from delighting in the law of the Lord and meditating on it always. Such a person is compared to a tree planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in season and never withering. This image reminds us that closeness to God through His word brings stability, growth, and prosperity. To live this way, we must continually meditate on Scripture and guard against influences that distract us from God’s word.
Prayer Father, thank You for Your grace to meditate day and night on Your word. May the Holy Spirit guide me to remain rooted in You, bearing fruit in every season. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
