Reflection
The degree of our revelation of how forgiven we are in Christ is often reflected in how well we forgive others and ourselves.
Notice the tenses in Ephesians 4:32 and Colossians 3:13? They both say the same thing - "forgiving one another ... even as Christ forgave you".
In Christ, we have already been completely forgiven (past). As we have been freely forgiven, we are to keep forgiving others (continuously) to reflect God's unconditional love to others, including ourselves. And since we've already received God's full pardon and forgiveness in Christ, who are we not to forgive?
Therefore, beloved, in light of God's love, grace and mercy ... forgive others, forgive ourselves. All glory to Jesus!
Prayer
Father, help us to always remember how loved and forgiven we are in Christ, so that we may also extend the same to others and ourselves. By Your grace and for Your glory. Amen.
