Reflection
A non-life-threatening medical condition plagued my mother for many years, causing multiple episodes of intense pain that required us to rush her to the emergency room. Finally, she underwent surgery earlier this year, and the condition no longer bothers her. Because of her age, she was previously advised not to undergo surgery. “Too old,” they said. Yet, this very surgery was performed when she was 92 years old. She was assessed to be medically fit to undergo this surgery when she agreed to it. How merciful and gracious is the Lord, our God! Age is not an issue; our perception is. Let our minds be transformed by His goodness.
Prayer
Father God, thank You for Your unrelenting grace, mercy and loving kindness to our family clan. Psalm 27:13 declares we will indeed see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, and we receive this with deep gratitude in our hearts. Amen.
