Reflection
The freedom found in Christ that sets us free from the law of sin should not be an excuse for us to indulge selfish or sinful desires of the flesh, but to channel this true freedom into humble service and active love.
Jesus made it clear that those who call Him "Lord," should obey His word. Love is a choice; by loving one’s neighbor as oneself the whole law of God is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” (Romans 13:10;14).
Prayer
Abba Father, we love You. Thank You that Your love never fails, is unchanging and never ceases to give us grace. Help us to forgive as we have been freely forgiven, to truly live in freedom by the power of the Holy Spirit, anchored in Your word with active obedience in the inner heart and outward action to choose love, to put on Christ Jesus and become more like Him. For Your glory, Your kingdom come. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
