Reflection
God may allow suffering in our lives but it is never without purpose. Through it, He may bring upgrades, such as in authority, spiritual promotion, blessings, or even in glory.
We need to understand that God refines us so we can be like pure gold and silver. There is always a price to pay in following Jesus, and He prunes us so that we can bear more fruit.
During difficult times, let us cling closely to God and faithfully endure hardships. We will emerge as refined gold and silver. As we surrender to His pruning work, we will emerge as refined gold and silver, carrying more of His glory and becoming more like Christ.
Prayer
Dear Lord, we pray the prayer of Jabez: "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" (1 Chronicles 4:10). In Jesus’ name. Amen.
