Reflection
When God created us, He gave the power of choice in our life. God imparts wisdom, discipline, understanding and obedience for living righteously. He gives the Holy Spirit to live with us when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Scripture also emphasises that wisdom and discernment begins with the “fear of the Lord”, which is a reverent awe for God, while contrasting the wise, who grow in learning from God, with fools, who reject knowledge and instruction from God.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, please help us to put You first and choose wisely in life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
