Reflection
The familiar images of Jesus—born in humility, riding a donkey, suffering in Gethsemane, and dying on the cross—often overshadow His identity as the Triumphant King. Yet His declaration, “It is finished”, reveals not defeat but decisive victory. Jesus willingly yielded His spirit, demonstrating authority over life and death and conquering sin, death, and the powers of darkness.
He is the promised King, the King of Kings, whose kingdom is eternal, righteous, and filled with peace. His triumph is not achieved through worldly power but through sacrificial love and divine authority. In Revelation, He is portrayed as the victorious Lamb and reigning King who overcomes evil, judges righteously, and establishes a new heaven and earth. His return signifies the final defeat of Satan and the complete restoration of all things.
Jesus, though slain, lives eternally and reigns with absolute sovereignty. His victory is shared with His faithful followers, offering hope, assurance, and eternal fellowship with Him. As believers, we look forward to dwelling in His presence, confident in His power, and trusting in His promise to return.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, reign in my heart as King. Let Your victory shape my life with faith, hope, and obedience. Amen.
