Reflection
This is a very timely message for me. Recently, I have been feeling trapped in a situation. I was trying to fight in my own ways and strength; I lost my peace and patience. This verse reminds me again of God’s promise that He is a loving father. He will win the battle for me; I can rest in Christ’s finished work. I don’t need to earn freedom; I am sitting in freedom. While I am free, there is a need to also resist anything that would enslave me. Thank You God for the encouragement!
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You that You have fully set us free – not partially, temporarily, but truly. Teach us to sit in Your finished work, to walk in the dignity of Christ, and to stand against every lie that would re-enslave us or others. Where we are still captive, break those chains today. Use our freedom as a bridge for someone else’s release. Amen.
