Day 218 Bible Reading: Ezra 3-4, 1 Corinthians 2, Psalm 28 and Proverb 20:24-25 Link opens new window

Where do you look for rescue when you are drowning in the sea of negative circumstances? Your help lies not within yourself, nor in other people, but solely in God. When you are in trouble, the Lord who watches knows we are not kidding and is paying close attention to us. We can count on his help.

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him." – Psalm 28:7 (English Standard Version)

"Lord, let me put my faith not in my ability, but in your faithfulness to your promises alone. As my Rock, you are the solid ground of my life and I thank you for stabilising, strengthening and shepherding me. Amen."
