2019-09-13 (FRI) Genuine Faith

Day 256 Bible Reading: Isaiah 12-14, 2 Corinthians 13, Psalm 57 and Proverbs 23:9-11 Link opens new window

How do we know if our faith is genuine and Christ is among us? Do we have a real and right relationship with Jesus? A relationship with Jesus consists of praying to Him and going to church on Sunday. We allow Jesus to be a sacrifice for our sins. Is it all? Genuine faith involves repentance, personal devotion to Jesus Christ, desire to grow to be more like Jesus. Love God and people. Believe, submit, and obey Jesus' commands because Jesus loves us first. Are your spiritual fruits and character reflecting the love of Jesus in you and through you?

"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!" - 2 Corinthians 13:5 (ESV)

"Lord, grant me Your Spirit of Truth, so I may see the true condition of my heart. Please lead me to repentance where I fall short. I desire a genuine faith so my life will be well with you. In Jesus' name, Amen."
