2020 Kingdom Thoughts

Sunday October 18, 2020

…to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that HE may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.

Isaiah 61: 3-4 (ESV) ‬‬‬‬

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (ESV) ‬‬‬‬

Day 292 – My Name is Oak of Righteousness

Isaiah tells us that we are given a new name, the oaks of righteousness. In my Kingdom Group, we witness new life coming to young families all the time. It is always such a love filled moment when parents share about how they come up with names for their kids. A new name symbolises not only a new life, a new destiny, but also a new blessing that parents knowingly or unknowingly “prophesy” over their kids.

In our Heavenly Father’s eyes, our new life, destiny and blessing through Christ Jesus is an oak of righteousness. We partake the fruit with seeds of Jesus’ righteousness and become the righteousness of God in Him.

Thank You, Heavenly Father for Your steadfast love that never gives up. Thank You, Lord Jesus for dying on our behalf, resurrecting us and activating a new life in us. We pray that Your seed of righteousness will sow deep in us and we will grow tall and strong in midst of trials and challenges and be a shining shelter for many who are in need so Your name maybe be glorified. In Jesus' name, Amen.
