We were created to have relationship with God. God loves us and has a wonderful plan and purpose for each and every one of us. However, sin came into the picture and separated us from God. Without the forgiveness of sin, we are unable to have a relationship with God. This has been resolved through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus. God so loved us that He sent His only Son, Jesus, fully man and fully God, to bear our sins on the cross. Through this perfect sacrifice, we are saved and reconciled back to God. We are free from the penalty of sin, free from the power of sin and free from the presence of sin in the future when we spend eternity with Him in Heaven.
Salvation is freely given to us from God. In order to receive this gift of salvation, you must commit your life and heart to Jesus, to accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour. When you choose to take that step of faith and believe, you have a new life in Christ, and can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life.
You can receive Jesus now by saying this simple prayer:
Jesus, I surrender my life to You. Thank You for forgiving me and bearing my sins on the cross. I choose to believe in You and declare that You are my Lord and my Saviour. Thank You for the new life I have in You. Empower me to live for You each day. In Jesus name, Amen.
